About D.A. Larson

01

Early Work

Raised in midwest Minnesota, Darryl grew up enjoying wildlife. His studies at the University of Minnesota helped develop his interest in art. Having worked in the twin cities, he would often sketch during his lunch hour the view he had of the high-rise buildings in Minneapolis.

02

Passion for Wildlife

Darryl enjoyed hunting and photographing bird wildlife for many years. Much of Grant County, Minnesota, served as his inspiration for his oil, watercolor and india ink works.

As a member of Ducks Unlimited and Pheasants Forever, he often donated his prints to help promote conservation efforts.

03

Now

Happily retired and married for over 50 years, Darryl enjoys spending time with family, gardening and winemaking. He is also a founding member of the Grant County Shooters Association.
